Nutritious Bars

Equipment

  • 9×13 Pan

Ingredients

  • 1.25 c flour
  • 1 c brown sugar Packed
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c peanut butter
  • 1 c quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 c wheat germ or ground flax
  • 1/2 c chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 375° & grease 9 x 13 pan
  • In large bowl, combine all ingredients except oats, chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Beat until well blended.
  • Stir in oats.
  • Press dough into greased pan.
  • Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Bake 15-20 minutes. Or until toothpick test is clean.
