Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies
Servings: 36 cookies

Ingredients
- 3/4 stick Crisco butter flavor shortening stick
- 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar firmly packed
- 1 Tbsp milk
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 1 large egg
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 6oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375°
- Beat shortening and brown sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in milk, vanilla and egg. Stir in flour, salt and baking soda. Blend in chocolate chips and nuts
- Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto un-greased cookie sheets
- Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet. Transfer cookies to cooling rack.
- Note: If nuts are omitted, add an additional 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
